The Vermont Area 70 - District One office is the “lifeline” of ALCOHOLIC ANONYMOUS for the Franklin County area of Vermont. Its PRIMARY PURPOSE is to answer the call for help from the alcoholic who still suffers, and for this purpose maintains a 24-HOUR HOTLINE. The District office also provides, in addition to this web site, a printed, annually updated, “Where and When” of meetings in the area so that anyone can find a meeting at anytime. Finally, the District office tries to promote A.A. UNITY within the area and to provide services which individual A.A. Groups cannot do themselves. The District office is dependent on the groups for its support and the group contributions are most welcome.
